Clearbuild Texas was built on a simple principle: a homeowner deserves to know exactly what they are getting, exactly what it costs, and exactly who is responsible for delivering it. No surprises. No change-order games. No subcontractors running the show unsupervised.
We are a full-service residential general contractor operating across Austin, the Texas Hill Country, and surrounding communities. Our work spans custom homes, spec builds, and ranch and land development — all executed under direct owner-builder oversight from groundbreak to closeout.
Based in the West Austin Hill Country, we build where we live. Every project we take on is within driving distance of our office, which means our principals are on-site — not delegating from a conference room.

MICHAEL GULARTE
"If my name is on it, I'm on the job."
Michael Gularte is the owner, builder, and head of field operations at Clearbuild Texas. He is the person on-site, the one signing off on framing, the one walking the punch list, and the one answering the phone when something needs to be resolved. That is not a job description — it is how he has operated since day one.
With over a decade of residential construction experience across Central Texas, Michael has built custom homes, spec homes, and rural structures from the ground up. His background spans every phase of the build process — site work, framing, mechanical coordination, finish work, and final delivery. He does not manage from a distance.
Michael also co-owns 4 Seasons Outdoors, a separate company specializing in outdoor kitchens and outdoor living construction across the Austin area. His dual role as builder and business owner gives him a clear-eyed view of what clients actually need: a contractor who treats their project like a business decision, not a transaction.

GRANT WOODRUFF

Grant Woodruff is the co-founder and business development lead at Clearbuild Texas. As a 50/50 partner, he is responsible for the side of the business that makes the building side possible: sales, financial oversight, investor relationships, and long-term business strategy.
Grant brings a structured, numbers-first approach to every client conversation. He is the person who makes sure a project is financially sound before a shovel goes in the ground — for the client and for the company. His background in business development and financial management gives Clearbuild Texas the operational discipline that separates serious builders from the rest of the market.
Where Michael runs the field, Grant runs the business. Together, they cover every dimension of a construction project — from the first conversation about budget and scope to the final walk-through and closeout. No detail falls through the gap between the two.
Grant is the first call for clients who want to talk numbers, financing structures, investment potential, or long-term land development strategy.
